Immunotherapy in the treatment of melanoma. The results and prospects
Melanoma is a highly-malignant aggressive tumor that does not respond well to traditional methods of treatment. However, new progressive treatment directions have now been developed. One of them is immunotherapy. The possibilities it offers are explored by Professor.
The use of checkpoint inhibitors, as one of the methods of immunotherapy, is considered very promising if treatment is started on time. Before that, primary therapy is carried out using traditional methods. The professor explains what conditions are necessary for the successful use of immunotherapy, what results can be achieved, and how realistic it is to cure melanoma at the present stage of development of oncology.
