Dr Devorah Schwartz-Arad is an Oral & Maxillofacial Specialist Surgeon. She is the owner and senior surgeon of Schwartz-Arad Surgical Center in Tel Aviv. She specializes in providing dental and bone grafts using tissue derived from bone marrow or multipotent mesenchymal stem cells.
Education and Background
Dr Schwartz-Arad graduated as a Doctor in Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Soon after her graduation in 1990, she specialised in oral and maxillofacial reconstructive surgery.
Her career developed simultaneously in both the academic and clinical arenas. This led her to win several awards by the Israeli Academy of Sciences and the Israel Cancer Association.
Research and Practice Focus
As a clinician, Dr Schwartz-Arad has acquired extensive hands-on experience in cosmetic oral surgeries. Her work usually combines surgery with orthodontic, orthognathic, and rehabilitative interventions. She also takes great pride in conducting an ethical practice, where the patient’s wellbeing and quality of life come first.
She works primarily with patients who have endured massive trauma to the maxillofacial bones, whether due to physical trauma or as a consequence of intensive radiotherapy.

As a member of the Specialty Examination Board for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr Schwartz-Arad has helped set and improve the standards of her field in Israel.
Dr Schwartz-Arad is also a member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Through her private clinic, she also cultivates relationships with colleagues around the world to raise awareness about the impact of esthetic dentistry.
One of her latest projects was the book “Esthetics in Dentistry”, which collects the stories and photographs of 17 successful women who specialise in cosmetic dentistry and maxillofacial reconstruction.
